Rohingya prisoners asked for food in mini supermarket arrested


NEW CITY: A Rohingya ethnic prisoner who escaped from the Smoke Temporary Immigration Depot here is accused of making riots and asking for food at a mini supermarket in Valdor, Penang nearby before being arrested by people, yesterday.
In the incident around 6.30 pm, the 37-year-old Rohinya ethnic man was found exhausted due to hunger behind the premises.
According to Muhammad Nuursyamsuddin Che Adni, 29, he was called by one of his friends around 5.30 pm informing that there was a foreigner man making a riot on the relevant premises.
“My friend told the foreigner man that walked into the premises and made a riot by asking for food and drinks from the employees there.
“By the time I got there, the five female employees who were inside the premises were already outside the premises due to fear of the presence of foreigners involved,” she said when found here today.
He said, he then searched for strangers involved and found him behind the premises in a weak state.
“After being asked, the man informed that he was an ethnic detainee of Rohinya who escaped from the immigration depot a few days ago.
“I was with a friend and then took the detainee in the car and handed it over to the police who made a roadblock in Baong Village, Relau nearby,” it explained.
