KUALA LANGAT: As many as 18 unauthorized immigrants (PATI) who tried to enter the country illegally were seized by authorities while landing on the Long Beach, Morib here, yesterday.
Those who were detained in the Battalion 4 General Movement Forces (PGA) operation were between 15 to 37 years old.
When they were arrested they were hiding in the swamp area.
Batalion 4 Government Officials, Superintendan Rizal Mohamed said, the arrest was made through patrolling and monitoring of his parties around the Long Beach area before two foreigners were arrested in the first raid on the main street.
“The results of the investigation then detained seven more individuals hiding in the bane swamp area before nine more were found on the coast of the concerned,” he said in a statement today.
Clearly Rizal, the check found that all the foreigners don't have legal travel documents.
“As many as 11 men and seven women entered through an unsaid path, which is the sea road by boat.
“They are believed to be waiting for e-hailing and taken by certain individuals at the raid location,” he said.
Add him, the PATI is believed to be charged with a payment of RM1,600 to RM2,500 by agents to enter the country.
“All the arrests were brought to the District Police Headquarters (IPD) Kuala Langat for further action and related cases are classified according to the Immigration Act 1959/63,” he said.
